Playing an angel can be dangerous. Actress Rani Mukherjee discovered this while working in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic .

Rani’s acting skills have been challenged many times in the past, but her physical abilities were tested and stretched for the first time in Kunal Kohli’s film TPTM in which she plays an angel.
If you think playing an angel is as easy as wielding a magic wand, ask

Rani who braved many a peril while shooting her scenes for TPTM.

The movie has Rani playing a fairy who comes to earth to help four orphans and their keeper Saif Ali Khan to find love in life.

Many stunts required Rani to train in advance under the guidance of action director Shyam Kaushal. In these gravity-defying stunts the actress was harnessed to a set to cables and suspended mid-air with hardly any su

pport. To make matters difficult, Rani had to maintain particular postures throughout these stunts.

Rani says every bone and sinew in her body was stretched while shooting these scenes.

Every precaution was taken by Shyam Kaushal, who, along with Manish Malhotra , designed special kind of clothes for the actress to wear while doing stunts.

Kaushal says Rani rehearsed her stunts many times before shooting. And when the camera began to roll, she gave perfect shots, most of which were okayed in single takes by Kunal Kohli .

In an interview, Rani has likened her stunts in the film to those by Hrithik Roshan in Krrish .

Not just Rani, even Amisha Patel had to learn underwater swimming for her song “Lazy Lamhe” in the film. Kunal hired special underwater cameras to shoot many portions of the song.

Luckily, only Saif Ali Khan, the film’s male lead, was spared of doing any stunts. But then he had already had his share of suicidal falls from skyscrapers while doing Race .

β€˜Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’ is jointly produced by Kohli and Yashraj Films . The movie releases on Friday, June 27.
