One of the best and most popular onscreen pair that Indian cinema ever saw – Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha may star together in a movie.

The onscreen romance of Bachchan and Rekha created such magic that an entire generation fell in love with the idea of love.

Every time their name is mentioned time flies back and one is reminded of their last movie together – ‘Silsila’. And one is left yearning to see more of them together.

But looks like the wait is over as Bachchan and Rekha are all set to be paired once again in a Walt Disney production ‘Marma Yogi’, a period flick that shall also have Kajol and Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan in leading roles.

Bachchan and Rekha – the couple that defined onscreen chemistry back in 1970 with several of their movies being hits, were considered to be passé and were largely remembered for an affair.

Though their fans longed to see them paired opposite each other the two never shared screen space thanks to their alleged relationship that had an entire generation talking.

However, looks like time has come to bury the hatchet and no love seems to be lost as Big B is ready to be paired against Rekha.

In an interview given to a news daily, Bachchan said, “I would not mind working with Rekha if a suitable role came my way.”

As far as Rekha is concerned, the actress has always maintained that she holds the highest regard for Big B. The stunning beauty had once stated in Simi Garewal chat show that Bachchan has influenced her life profoundly and she has learnt a lot from him.

Going back in a flashback, Rekha had once even written that ‘the wait to be able to be co star against Amitji is worth a wait. That everything happens for the right reason at the right time.”

Well, the time seems to have finally come.
