AT LAST, drama queen Rakhi Sawant, floored everybody to be crowned as the queen of dance reality show title- ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, after a gruelling competition amongst celebrities of TV and film industry. Sawant and her Chiller Party, comprising of children below 10 years, walked away as the winner of dance reality show on 9X entertainment channel after months of hard work, perseverance, and heart capturing performances.
‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’ was a new concept in India, wherein, the celebrities acted as mentors of their respective teams, which comprised of participants from different walks and sections of life. Three teams made it to the grand finale of the contest – Sawant and her Chiller Party, Hussain Kuwajerwala and ‘Kal ke Kalakaar’, and Ronit Roy and ‘Bindaas Bosses’. Hussain was crowned with the title of the first runner-up, while Roy ended up being the second runner-up, who was initially felt to be the strongest contender in reckoning.
The grand finale of ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’ was a grand affair, amidst performances from all the contestants of the show, notwithstanding, the final-trio’s performances, and the presence of Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee, added some extra glamour to the show. As a part of promotional campaign of her forthcoming movie- ‘Thoda Magic Thoda Pyaar’, Rani tried to please the contestants and the audience by spreading her love and magic on the show. Among brilliant performances, the host duo Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar, aided by the comments of Ravi Kishen, played their dramatic part in re-living the emotional and treasured moments of the show and sort of created anxiety among the participants and their fans regarding the final verdict.
Apart from the coveted trophy for the winner, there were certain other interesting and funny trophies given away to the contestants such as- the excuse puller of the show, the luckiest person of the show, non dancer on the dance show and so on. The winner of the show was declared by Rani, not before playing with the patience
of the contestants. Sawant and her cute kids (chillers) lifted the trophy, accompanied by a winning prize of Rs 25 lakhs.
Sawant and her family were on cloud nine as soon as the winners were declared. One could easily see the animated jubilation of her boyfriend, Abhishek, who seemed to have been the world beater. Sawant and Abhishek seemed vindicated and even came out with the statement on a news channel that this win was a slap for those who ridiculed them on their loss in ‘Nach Balliye’, another dance reality show on Star Plus. Anyways, this time around it was Sawant who stole the show and the coveted title, proving her mettle as the real dance queen!
